This has been an UNreal month, a can't believe we're already at the end of it. On February 11th I lost someone who was my everything, when he took his own life. What we were was hard to define, best friends maybe ...boyfriends.....lovers.....all I knew was my love for him and his for me. That was all that was important.

My mind still can't fully wrap around how someone so happy and full of light and love could come to a decision like this. Daniel was someone that everyone gravitated to, I was jealous at times of how easily he just connected with and maintained connections with people. He would always be coming from a dinner with some friend or another. He had traveled all over the world and made a life for himself working with some major stylists in New York, and yet came from a small farm town in California and was only twenty-four years old.

He cared for me so much, and loved me so much, sometimes to the point where he forgot himself. He's been my rock, my support, my critic, my cheerleader and I've lived almost every moment of my free time with him for the last year. My heart hurts like I've never known before. I first thought that this strike to my heart had to have been an accident, like there could have been some other way. But because of the way the events of that night happened, I have to believe that there was a higher power watching over so many of us. I won't give you the details of it all. But I know that we are all unfinished works of a master stonecutter, and the process of making a diamond involves many precise and careful strong blows. Daniel's life was a work of art, beautiful....he wove so many people together, this final blow was the strike that completed a precious jewel.
I believe my baby is home now, in some incredibly beautiful place. And until that day when the crafting of this stone is finished, I will have an angel with me to watch over me like he always did in this life.

What I've learned most from the past few weeks is that in this great world filled with so many people, we are all essentially alone. No one can be in your head nor can you be in anyone else's, our thoughts are our own. We can only share as much as we choose to confess or are able to articulate. But in this respect we are all united, this is what we all share. I urge everyone to reach out to the people in their life and communicate, if you are having troubling thoughts.....let it out.......it's the only way your friends and family can help you. Don't be ashamed of yourself or your thoughts, just be yourself and love openly. TRUTH is an amazing thing. There was another suicide last week by someone not extremely close to me but someone that I always saw out and around, and who was dating a good friend. I could have easily come up to talk to him many times but for some silly reason I never did. We need to wake up. The community here in New York is hurting. We need to LOVE each other as brothers for the inner LIGHT and connection we all have, in our aloneness there is oneness.

It's been a long time since I've posted, I know. Over the past few months I've been busy getting things together for a new club that just opened in New York called XL, along with work and school, I forgot to blog. If you're not from New York or haven't heard the news, there's a new dance den in Gotham, it sits in the belly of a gay resort opening this March. It's big.....like HUGE and has an incredible sound system, LED light panels, 2 story bathroom with mezzanine....what more can you want. Oh and I've been collecting the sexiest dancers I can find to fill the stages.

I was really beginning to miss taking pictures, but it just so happened that the other week some new pieces came out for Slick It Up that needed taken out for spin. Check out these shots of the Candy Cobra, we had a lot of fun taking them, don't have too much fun looking at them.

And here's a little something I thought of while making this post.....It really takes me back to an odd time and place. But somehow it's fitting.

I ring the doorbell of a lovely brownstone in chelsea, peeking in through the window I see a large ceramic panther hanging on one wall of the first floor apartment. The door buzzes and I push my way in, stepping over a pile of unread mail, only to be bombarded by two yapping gay dogs. My subject is handsome, but much shorter than I imagined him being.

Chase: Oh Don't mind the Kids! (he's shouting at them as he says this!) I swear they don't bite! Well.....They might but none of their teeth are big enough to do much damage.

C: Oh it's fine, it's fine....I have two of the exact same dogs of my own. Dare I say mine aren't quite this loud.

Chase: I know, I inherited them from an ex-boyfriend who never trained them well, and you know Old Dogs don't learn new tricks. But come in, have a seat.....take your shoes off first please. I see you have a pair of Jeremy Scott high tops on.

C: Ah, yes I saw you wearing a pair and I had to have them....strangely enough it seems we have a matching collection.
Odd indeed....I'm not surprised though. Those shoes are everywhere now....and let me tell you....some of those people have no business wearing something so loud on their feet. It's all about accessorizing them properly, making them work WITH your outfit.

Can I offer you something to drink?

C: I'd love some juice if you have.
I went through my last bit of juice last week....you'll have to settle for water.

C: I can't help but notice your apartment looks like Martha Stewart went to battle with some paper and art supplies.
Oooo Sorry about the mess. I hate having a messy house for guests, but I feel like I practically know you already so I thought there was little need to tidy up. Truth is, I've been exploring design lately and it's led my home to become a war zone of arts and crafts. I've just been so busy between that and my work, I haven't had the time to clean. I honestly need my Slave to come over and fix the mess, but you know....having a slave is almost just as much work as doing the cleaning yourself. I mean they expect all this punishment and direction, you have to constantly make as if you're angry and can never be too satisfied with their work (you DO have to leave something to work forward to after all). I'm beginning to run thin on ideas on how to humiliate them.

C: Does this Slave want anything in return?
No just the punishment...I do catch him trying to sneak smells of my underwear when I'm not in the room, but he would never dream of getting anything sexual from me. He does always ask about my friends, or people I know and whether or not I tell them I have a slave....public humiliation seems to be his thing. He wants desperately to know what people think of his lowliness. But nailing him down for a time to come is a chore itself, and if my naughty slave is reading this he should be more attentive to his master and anticipate my needs. Master isn't pleased right now!

C: Fascinating, I would love to try having a slave.
I'll give you mine's number, I'm sure he'll like you, and perhaps you can whip him into shape for me.

C: I'm surprised by the decor of your apartment. I was expecting to see portraits of yourself adorning the walls.
Honestly the whole narcissistic thing is a gag. I have this persona going in the New York night scene that needs attention, and I thought a blog that pertained only to information and imagery of myself might be a fun idea to play with. I'm really a closeted introvert and a homebody that prefers a night in, working on my arts and crafts. The situation has gotten so bad that I feel like I have two personalities....the one that people see and requires being a pompous, well-groomed, fashionably dressed entertainer, who knows everyone....and the other who still loves camping, cooking, video games, pot, a good anime flick and the time he can enjoy with the 10 or so close friends he has. I almost don't have time for both!

C: I can relate to the feeling.
Bah....it's just a phase. But don't get me wrong...I'm still waiting for the perfect portrait to hang above my bed or on the mantel (though I think the mantel is a bit cliche)

C: And so what are your plans for the blog?
For now I keep hoping to make creative photoshoots to show my readers, I always love to find artists to promote as well. I will continue to do my best to inform people on what to wear and to push the limits of day to day fashion.
I find it funny that we live in a time where people make postings to the world every few minutes about what daily mundane task they are completing along with a picture of themselves half naked in a mirror and think it's noteworthy news. I can't figure out why anyone would want to know any of that information about me, let alone anyone else out there. It's the purpose of my blog to exaggerate that narcissism that we see in our day to day Facebooking and give a little tongue and cheek to it.

C: I completely agree, I'm only doing this interview because I have to.
Well there's no need to be nasty now....

C: Sorry, but it's true.... So I hear you just got out of the hospital?
Yes I had a little run in with a bad appendix, and was locked in the hospital for over a week. No food, no water.....I may as well have been in Guantanamo Bay. Luckily I have friends to come visit, and even more so I didn't have to have a surgery to destroy this pretty little belly I have going on down here.

C: Did you reflect on anything there?
Other than a cheeseburger, not really.
I did have my mother come to town to take care of me. She's good like that, best mom a guy could ask for.
I suppose you could say my time was filled with meditations of gratitude.

C: Well that's all I came to talk to you about.
Geez, you're not much of an interviewer.

C: anything else you'd like to say?
Gesundheit...thats all.

Brace yourselves, for a little photo editorial I shot with Joe Oppedisano over the Fall of last year. This story is supposedly running in DNA magazine any day now, but I'll believe that when it's printed. I can't wait any longer to post it.
We wanted to shoot our take on the superhero figure, and make him a little more young, fresh and urban. My boy Javier Lewis styled and pulled together the wardrobe and turned me into hot, villain killin' superman.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do, they are very special to me....and if you do like them, write a letter to DNA and tell them to get their shit together....who needs another boring photo shoot of a dude in a speedo trying to look like a jock?

Some Different Graphic Renderings....

Today's post is a piece of graphic art by an artist/architect named Zuki. He used a photo from my shoot with Tim Palen, and turned it into what almost looks like a charcoal sketch at first, but when you look more closely you see it is indeed a graphic art piece. As the artist mentioned, there is a certain "wistful and serene" quality to the image he started with and I think his take on that is striking. It has a certain melancholy and at the same time is ethereal as the lines fade from silver to grey and drift off into nothing. I hope you enjoy this, because I really do.

My True Loves......

It's unfair that I haven't yet shared with you the two biggest parts of my life, my pups. I've had them both now for a little over 4 years, since an ex that I spoke about in a previous post left them with me. Though they can be a heavy burden at times in the city, I am so glad I have them because they mean everything to me. Mischka, which means "little mouse" in czech, is a Yorkie and long haired Chihuahua mix and she's about 13 years old (I'm not sure of exact age because I've only had them for a short time). As you'll see from the pictures she's a supermodel and tends to act like one, she squeaks like a little girl when you come home, loves to give kisses and is very independent and dominant....little big mama of the house. Julio is a toy rat terrier who I believe is about 11 years old. Julio is a little gay boy, and was probably the runt of his litter. He's blind in one eye from being bitten by a cat and a little bit of a paranoid nervous wreck, and needs to be loved. He is in heaven when he is smooshed, and loves nothing more than to dive in between me and a guy I'm cuddling with and get smooshed between us. The tighter he's squeezed the happier he is. He's only 5 pounds but will let you use him as a pillow and makes a kind of humming noise when you do. He sleeps under the covers an will have it no other way. And he is very very fast, but because of the blind eye he tends to run into things very very fast. So without further adieu here is Mischka and Julio.

The Search.....

Searching for an apartment in New York City is hard. I'm the type of person who finds a place and settles in and won't move out until the absolute need arises. Even though I love my home, it's a great location and I have a wonderful roommate that is like a brother and he loves and accepts my two dogs, I pay an outrageous amount of money and it's falling beyond my means anymore. So time for a move.
But I can't help but be a little overwhelmed at the moment. I have school starting in two weeks, a full time job, a night job and on top of it all I have to look for an apartment in this crazy town.
The most frustrating part is all the damn scams you go through on craigslist, just trying to find a decent place to even look at. Then once you do...forty other people are there looking with you. At least that's the case if you're going it without the broker. So I'm asking my readers to send good vibes my way, in hopes that I'll find a place that I can call my new home.

I know it's been awhile since I've put up a new shoot. It's taken me a good bit of time to grow the slice out of my hair (keep that in mind if you're considering it) and I wanted my first shots with the new wild curly hair to be something a little more untamed, unrefined, and different; to go along with all the amazing urban and animal inspired pieces I gathered. After seeing Justin's work and the raw beauty he captures in an almost voyeuristic way I knew he was right to do the shoot. I've been watching the works of a really cool artist who works with vectors in his graphic art. His name is Kai and he's from Russia, and a big sweety. Kai does these pieces on a lot of the really major male models in the world so I'm very honored that he chose to do a piece of me. I've actually been working on some vector art myself, not nearly as conceptual as Kai's work but more like the movie "A Scanner Darkly" (which is a very interesting movie that you should watch if you haven't already, and if you have and you liked it, then go read some of the author Philip K. Dick's books. He writes some really trippy sci-fi stuff) but this shit is hard to do!!! It takes many hours making little tiny layer after layer, and I have a long way to go. Materialism for the summer

Summer 2012 is just around the corner!!! Ok but seriously the Bernhard Willhelm collection has been debuted for SS 2012 and it's already going on pre-sale. So here's a few shots from the show with some pieces that I really really want.

I love the shorts here, maybe more tight than I would have them, but the lace-up front is cool and the stitching is all in the right places, I think these would be very flattering.

Love this whole look, I think this is one of the only looks where I liked everything head to toe. The tank is really cool and bright and fun and hangs just how a good tank top should. The shorts are just right and the socks are great too!

Cool shorts here, the print is awesome and the color is real sophisticated. Not sure what the hoody/tunic thing is but it's growing on me.

Love this hooded jacket, it's keeping up with my geometric/aztec print obsession. Not crazy about the jeans AT ALL though, maybe they look better in person?

Again this print and color are great....not sure about the cut and fit but maybe it would look better on me?

Lastly, I love this look on Francois Sagat....very jealous that he's the one getting to wear it on the runway and not me though.

On Love.....

My love life hasn't been the most organized thing over the past few years. I tend to be a little free with my love. That, or I have too much to give depending on how you look at it, and that gets me into some sticky situations.
Since I was a pup people older than me have been preaching to me that I'm either "too young to know love" or "I'll know when love hits me" or other vague, cliche sayings that don't really help or guide a young person in any way. I'm still rather young I know, but I'm no spring chicken either, but I haven't felt that singular smack in the face that LOVE is supposed to be. What I do know is that I have loved, I know I love my family dearly, though I may live far from them and I might not speak to them everyday I know our love is strong. I know I love my friends, those that are close to me now and who are like my brothers as well as those who have touched my past and become a part of the fabric of my person. It's funny how living in a city so densely metropolitan as New York friends can be cut out of your life from something as simple as a job change or by a move to an apartment on the other side of town. People change and grow too and these things draw us apart, but if Love was there once, how could it just disappear? Distance shouldn't mean that love is dead.
I've had three lovers in my adult life and I love all three still. The first lasted the longest in the limelight, even though it was the most tumultuous. We were very similar people, he a bit more angry than me. But we had similar interests and the way he could make me laugh always kept me. I saw the good in him always and because I loved him I tried my hardest to help him find happiness in the dark times and consciously use his angry words to convey his thoughts in a more productive less destructive manner. But after a few too many apartment moves I decided I couldn't go on taking the hits for his impulsive bad decision making and deal with his verbal abuse, while I paid for our lifestyle. So that relationship ended, I still love him and hope he finds a way to see life in a better light, and if he reads this I hope he knows I still love him even though I can't have him a part of my life.
My second love came quickly after the first to save the day, overlapping even. He is and was the antithesis of the first, nice and caring, he was a cop after all. I fell in love with him quickly, even though I was on guard after the first guy. Our relationship was doomed from the beginning though with his profession and my after hours job, plus a 14 year age difference. Despite a great amount of love for each other, our different lifestyles and the times we were at in our lives, made it unfair for us to stay together. And now one of my best friends is hot on my trail, and I love him. We were friends all through my time with mystery man number 2, and there was tension between us, but we never acted on it. After my split with number 2 he moved in for the kill. He is my best friend, we are practically the same person and he is an amazing man. I love him, but now the lines of love are becoming blurred. I want to be single right now, and sow my wild oats (I haven't been in 4 years), but I have this beautiful man who loves me so much and I can't bear to hurt him. So I find myself in a somewhat open relationship limbo land with very unconventional rules and boundries, it's uncharted territory, I'm sailing blind.
So maybe I don't know what "love" my elders are referring to, maybe I never will. I don't know if I want that kind of love though. I see people who told me about the love I might be so lucky to have one day and I see them in monogamous relationships that fail quickly and breed hate, and I think to myself that maybe we shouldn't put so much emphasis on finding the ONE love that is going to blow all the others away. Perhaps we should just love. Put it all out there, love more than one person. It might be harder than hating or putting people down, or being enraged by an ex. Why not Love freely, and separate the act of love from sex, define our own rules? It might get sloppy but with all the love around there will be plenty of people to clean up the mess.
I really don't know, I'm trying my way for now. But a part of me still always looks back to the marriages my grandparents have, and my own parents for that matter. Who were able to stay together and keep the love flowing even in this age of divorce.

Matinee Vegas....the full report

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I've been non-stop the past two weeks, with two circuit party weekends and full weeks of work in between. Heaven, right now, would be a night with fifteen hours of sleep. With this weekend over though I have a good couple of months to rest up. That being said I had a great time in Vegas, and here's how it all went down.
I missed my boy Eddie Elias' party on Friday night, which I heard was amazing. It was a pool party and apparently the space was all Playboy grotto'd out. Instead I was holding down my duties at Rockit here in NYC. I woke up bright and early Saturday for my flight out. Let me precede this next statement with this, I am so grateful to be able to travel on these trips to other interesting places and have it all paid for, and then get paid to have fun on top of it. That being said, sometimes we have to cut corners and this was a bit of a budget trip since it was Matinee's first weekend music festival in the States, so my flight out was a bit ghetto. Southwest airlines apparently caters to a lower middle class family clientele, there's no first class, no seating assignments, and since I was the last section to board I had my pick of 4 middle seats with overweight people or babies. Then there was the 2 hour layover in Denver which wasn't so pleasant either. But I got to Vegas!
I arrived pretty much in time to unpack my things and meet my roommate, who was a cute as a button southern kid with perky little bubble butt, then I was off to the first event "Full Tilt" at the Hard Rock Casino at the Body English space. The Space was cool, big staircase leading down to a dancefloor. It wasn't totally a "Matinee" space, as the stage was a bit low, but that didn't affect the party much. DJ Thersea was amazing, and the costumes were out of this world. The theme was playing cards, and Marco Marco who does many of the Black Eyed Peas looks styled most of the outfits here. Overall it was a good party, there were some of the regular Matinee dancers and some that were hired from LA. And here's my PSA to LA queens.....STOP INJECTING!!! It's not hot in anyway, I saw so many lip injections and botox in that backroom it was crazy, and the queens with the enhancements were walking around like fluffed up chickens so proud of it all and had rotten personalities on top of it. Good for them I guess. There were a few really sexy ones and nice ones too though that I met and it was a pleasure to get to meet and know those few. After the party I met up with some friends from NY and did a little bit of gambling, it was my first time and I didn't win anything but just the feeling of winning a little and then losing it again with my friends was somewhat bonding.
Sunday I went to the pool party so I could get a view of the crowd in proper lighting. I met some really fun locals and had a good time, but wanted to get a little look at actual Vegas, so me and my boys took a trip to get some food at In and Out. I think I ordered wrong, but I wasn't impressed, all these years I hear west coast people talk about In and Out and it didn't live up. I ordered a single burger, which I think was the mistake, because the burger was so tiny compared to all the toppings that I could hardly taste it. I think 5 guys still takes the cake. And while we were in the burger joint we experienced one of Vegas few thunderstorms, which was incredible, huge lighting that covered the sky and sheets of rain that could have started a flood ( I love a good thunderstorm). Again Vegas is not a pedestrian city and I find myself running across streets that aren't supposed to have pedestrian traffic to try and hail a cab, whats a New York boy to do???
The party Sunday night was the main event at Rain nightclub in the Palms hotel. Now this space was made for a good party, there was a massive dancefloor, huge LED video screens all over, pyrotechnics from the ceiling, and our dressing room consisted of all the VIP boxes in the rafters of the club. The crowd for this party was much cuter, but I was up dancing so much I hardly had time to come down and enjoy the people. I did have quite a few people come up and say hi and talk about the blog with me, I always appreciate that, it's really great to meet some of the people who I let into my life who would otherwise stay pretty anonymous.
Following the main event there was an afterhours, which I was supposed to work. Let me say, afterhours in Vegas are nothing like afterhours in NYC. Here, the environment is relaxed and inimate, it's basically a small circuit party with everyone you would want to see at the big ones and none of the ones you wouldn't. This party in Vegas was sketchy from the get go. We arrived and I set my bag down in an area that looked like a change room, and went inside to scope the place out. I came back outside and my bag was gone, we searched all over and thanks to a lovely soul Walter, we found it in a bathroom with its contents scattered all over the floor. I danced one set before the lighting guy had a Meth freakout and punched the DJ in the face and then exited the club to our "changing" area and began screaming like there was an exorsism being performed. He was kicked out and then he snuck back in and was kicked out a second time, and I took that as my cue to leave, only to be about ran over by the crazy lighting guy as he sped off into the distance, hopefully not harming anyone on his way to wherever.
By the time I got back to the hotel there was a pool party beginning with DJ Derrick Montiero spinning, there werent many people there since most had to check out and head back to life but I stayed and the music was amazing, he's now one of my favorite DJ's. I danced in the sun by the pool mostly by myself until my skin couldn't handle the burn anymore. I took one last walk around the strip after the pool and got on my Delta flight back home, where I was upgraded to first class and slept the whole way with my pillow and blanket and pre-flight water AHHH.
And that my friends was my trip to Vegas, sadly I didn't get any play, but thats probably for the better.

I Love Anime!

I've always had something in my heart for Japanese animation. Some of my favorite video games are the Final Fantasy series, which I've been playing since I was a kid. I've enjoyed the movies of Hayao Miyazaki, and Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and some anime series like Neon Genesis Evangelion (if you haven't seen any of these, go rent them, it's a good change from american media). Aside from being amazed by the in depth philosophical eastern thought based plots and spectacular visual conception, I was always kinda checking out the cartoon dudes. Guilty. They just draw these perfect big men, with exaggerated muscles and crazy outfits, and I love it. In my adulthood I've gotten into looking at a specific type of anime called "Bara" which a homoerotic catagory of drawing where the men are big, jocks and bears, looking like how men look in my dreams.
Recently my boy Monkeygogo turned me into one of his Bara illustrations. And it's my pleasure to show you some of his incredible work. This stuff inspires me to try and see what I could create, I doubt it would ever be anything like this. So here's me in undress...enjoy!

I came across this image shot by Joe Oppedisano from OUT magazine recently.....It is old as dirt. I'm soo skinny in this picture and a little over retouched...I don't know how I even got into this shoot looking the way I did. But here I am laying on the lap of Amy Sedaris. I love Amy, she's one of my favorites all the way back from when she was doing "Strangers With Candy".
It's said that you should never meet your idols, because usually it ends in disappointment, but that was not the case here. Amy was sweet as pie, funny, charming, and pretty....all the things I imagined here to be. We shot this right as the Shrek movie she did a voice over for was playing in theaters and she almost came to see the movie with me and my then boyfriend, but unfortunately formed some sort of escape.
Anyways I thought I would share it with you. No judging.

Gay Disney Report

I'm back in town from Orlando...and I don't have the best news to spread. I went down to Gay Disney for the first time ever, and I was actually really excited. Believe it or not I had never been to Disney world as a kid, not because I was depraved, but because I was more obsessed with adult things when I was younger and had no interest in Disney things. So I was now curious to see what I had been missing these 25 years. NOT MUCH! Orlando is a horrible place, and I'm sorry for anyone who must live there. It's especially awful for a New Yorker who isn't used to being in a completely automotive driven society....I mean there are no sidewalks to be found, I tried walking to a few places rather than take a cab and I ended up on a few safari's.

So I stayed in the Buena Vista Palace which was hosting the event, because thats where Matinee was putting me up. It was a good enough hotel, no complaints there, except they screwed up my reservation originally but that was fixed in no time. But if I wanted to eat the nearest options were downtown Disney filled with overpriced food where half of what you pay for is the cheesy decor, and your company is either six years old or sixty six years old. I'm sure it's a great place if you have a crying kid you need to shut up. I must say, I did get held up for a minute there by the "princess parade" where two older women dressed in Medieval garb carrying a banner, and another two throwing flower petals, guided a rope with all these little girls dressed in their favorite disney princess outfits attached to it (and two teenagers who looked like they hated life blowing bubbles in the rear) And it was the CUTEST thing I saw all weekend. I had to stand and wave at them as they passed, I cried a little too.

Friday night I went to Typhoon Lagoon, I was super excited for this party, it was the main reason I wanted to go on the trip in the first place. What could be better than water rides, house music and intoxication?!?! By the time the party got going, my friends had all arrived, one coming straight from the airport. We took what we needed to take and got going to the slides. The water slides were good, I was more impressed than my friends were since I haven't really been to any major water parks. But it was a good time being together and sharing the experience. The wave pool was crazy and I thought I was going to drown at one point, it's been longer than I thought since I've swam in strong deep water and my lungs were going through it! Once we had done all the slides and stood in the wave pool for a bit we decided to put some shoes on and head to the dance floor. We must have not done enough drugs because as soon as we got to the dance floor we turned right back around and left the party. The music was HORRIBLE! good thing the water slides were there to keep us entertained the first half.

After Typhoon Lagoon we went back to the hotel to freshen up and put on some new looks, and went to Paulo's Tunnel party in the basement of the Hotel. Paulo spun the best music I heard all weekend, and this was definitely the most fun I had not working. The production was good, light and lasers were amazing....so thumbs up to whomever was responsible for that. And I danced until the wee hours.

Saturday I rested a bit, and then got ready for Matinee - Ibiza Rising, the main event. The production for this party was out of this world. The party was at Universal Studios with the stage right beneath a rollercoaster the "Hollywood Rocket" or something like that (which I road several times in between sets). The stage had all kinds of lights and platforms....it was very well done. I'm posting a video of the party at the bottom of the post so make sure to watch. There was a little drama backstage, one of the dancers who works with Spain was a huge diva, and without reason he was skinny and showed a lot of gum when he smiled and the whole time he was on the trip was saying things like "you may have seen me" and "do you know who I am" or "we do it this way" and basically threw a temper tantrum when he was told he had to dance this one set without a break when others had to do the same.......this kind of person I call a FAGGOT.....someone who is disgusting and does nothing for the gay community, but thinks of himself as higher than everyone else....I have news for you honey....your a gogo boy. I may be one too but I dont think it makes me better than anyone. There were a couple other dancers that probable shouldn't have been on stage either but that happens. You'll see in the video. I'm actually not in the video at all by the way, I got cut out.....I'll see if I can find one of me and my boys Johnny and Alex...Johnny you can see in this video really tearing it up....he's an incredible dancer.
Also Matinee Spain has this thing where they want the dancers to pose and move slowly and not dance.
I understand that not everyone can dance and so this is a safe way to keep people from looking a mess on stage. but those people should stick to the posing and dramatic movement. Myself and a few of the guys I book actually can dance and make their dancing a performance that is masculine and Hot. Johnny is a talent like I've never seen in the nightlife world and to tell him not to dance is an insult. Also the slow moving thing isn't for America, we tried it for Matinee's in the past and people don't enjoy it, they stare and become confused and it messes up the energy of the party. This is America and we like it extreme, we like to feel things and pass the energy from the stage to the crowd and back.

I left midday Sunday before before Chus and Ceballos, which I'm sure would have been amazing, but after taking one last trip to the pool I was very happy to be returning to New York. And thats my report of Gay Disney 2011.......I didn't see a single hot guy I didn't already know....waa waa now heres the video of Matinee.....enjoy!

Tomorrow I take-off for Orlando to Gay Disney. I'm going to be performing for the Matinee "Ibiza Rising" party on Saturday night there. If you haven't got your tickets yet, go buy them now because it's gonna be a hot show, it should be after all with about 3 different groups producing the event. I'm mostly excited though to go to the Typhoon Lagoon party, something about water slides, sexy boys and good music just seems like it'd be the bees knees.
This might all be a very irresponsible decision, as they are not really paying me my usual rate. I would be making much more by staying in town and doing my regular thing, but responsible was never very fun.
So if you plan on being in Orlando this weekend make sure you come to Matinee and stop by the stage to wave hello. I'll see ya there!

I suppose anywhere you go and no matter who you are in the gay scene queens are gonna talk shit. And I realize that since I put myself in the public eye I give those caddy boys even more to talk about. However, recently I have been enlightened to all sorts of convoluted things being said about me behind my back, by people that I've never met or heard of!! I would love to say that I'm one of those people who just doesn't give a fuck what people think, I know I shouldn't, after all I'm just a young man going through life, doing what I need to do to get by and have fun while not hurting anyone along the way.
But I still feel the need to take some walls down to set things straight.
Firstly, I am not as into myself as I make out to be on this blog, it's a satirical take on the narcissism that is ever flowing out of social networking outlets like facebook and twitter. I may be vain, and spend too much time in the mirror, but I can laugh at myself for that. And I surely know that while I may be attractive, there are plenty of other incredible looking guys out there. I don't believe myself to be better than anyone else, in fact I'm bit insecure and shy, but the life I'm leading doesn't allow for me to be as bashful as I'd like. I just hope my readers realize how much of a quite humble little homebody I am, I hurt too!! lol

I gogo dance not for necessity, but out love for dance. As I've mentioned before, nothing brings me joy and lets me connect with myself more than dancing does, and if you've seen me dance I think that is evident. While I make very good money gogo dancing, I'm not delusional in thinking it's a career. I also work full time at a fashion photography agency during the week in addition to dancing two and three nights on the weekends. I am hurt that people lump all gogo dancer into a bunch of drugged up messes who have no future, because of the few they may have come upon. I can assure you that myself along with the dancers that I book are nothing like the dancers you've seen before and they all certainly have a bright future ahead. I pride myself in bringing sexy real dancers to New York's nightlife, not the bump and grind muscle boy you may associate the word gogo with.

I won't bore you with all of odd things I hear come up about me but trust, some of them are absolutely hilarious and just not worth getting all heated up about.

It's freezing in New York today.....just over a week before June and it's cold as shit. But we're all here still so we can be thankful for the graces of whatever powers may be. One of my favorite things to do secretly in the comforts of my home is blasting some beautiful music and dance around my living room. Something about dance for me, reaches down into a deeper conscious and brings out a joy that is very primal and freeing. It always makes me happy to be alive. And so today I'm giving you a track that I hope will having you swaying around your own living room and enjoying the life we have and have waiting ahead for us. White Chocolate

A few of the Dj's that I work with here and there have adopted the pet name "White Chocolate" due to the way I dance, among a few other character traits I might share with a 18 year old black girl. If I were a black girl though........ I would be this one. I don't know what rock I hide under, that this is the first Nicki Minaj song I'm hearing, that I'm aware of. But I love the song, I love the video (up until the black light section which just took things in a whole other direction), and I love her. I you better believe I know every word to this song, and can probably do it all better than miss Minaj.

April Showers....

April showers are here, and it's been raining all week long in New York. The weather has actually been wonderful though, sunny and warm during the day and the rain (for the most part) when it gets colder in the evening. This is giving me great opportunity to sport some of my light springs jackets that I feel never get a chance to see the light of day since it's either too cold or too hot in this city. It's also spurred me to do a little online window shopping, and here's my pick of the jackets that are perfect for wearing in the balmy weather spring sometimes provides.

It's finally cool to wear your letter jacket again. If you were a big enough school enthusiast to buy one of these when you were in school, then don't be afraid to pull it out. I didn't have the foresight to see that these would ever be in style, and so now I have to buy one double the price. Look who the jokes on now.

I love leather and how it can be used in so many different ways to create a certain aesthetic in a persons dress. I love this light, mesh vintage adidas lux zip-up. It's just fly.

Burberry Porsum Makes this crazy Leather vest which could turn a lot of shirts into a lot more look.

A leather moto jacket is always an essential. I have a great one by Gucci that I need to make use of, but I can't get over this one by Balmain. It's not crazy structured like most jackets this style, it's way more relaxed and hip.

Making preppy hip always ups your sexy level. This grandpa golfer zip up is a sight on its own, but put it over a cute hoody with some low slung jeans and a high top and you just might be a thug who knows how to work a 9 iron. sexy.

Never really been a fan of the jean jacket but I would make an exception for this Galiano Jean/leather infusion. And you will definitely see me in the look below it this summer.

Finally, it is my lot in life to never be able to wear a trench coat. I have always wanted to, becuase when a trench coat fits a man really good, really really good it's so hot and masuline. I've managed to find a small handful of ones that don't make me look like Harry Potter. But here is me giving you a good ol' fashioned trench coat flash in this really cool SS 2011 Jeremy Scott Jacket. 1......2......3.......BAM!!!

It's a very special day today, when we take time to enjoy the stuff that makes life worth living. Aww who am I kidding, I take that time every day. But today the rest of America joins me, errrr well they probably do it everyday too. Funny how something that sooo many people enjoy could still be illegal in so many states. I look forward to the day when I can walk down to deli and grab myself a pack Marlboro Ultra Greens. Why not? It's already a massive underground industry, think about the tax money our economy is missing out on.

There were 3 men and they all died in a car crash and went to hell. When they got there the devil asked them all in turn a question.
To he first he said "what was your biggest sin on earth?" and the man replied "Oh man I just love alchol and being drunk man" so the devil showed the man to a room full of alchol of every type and description and he put the man inside and said "see you in 100 years" and locked the door.

To the second man he asked the same question and the man replied "oh man I just love to have sex with the ladies, I was really unfaithful to my wife man". So the devil took the man and showed him to a room full of hundreds upon thousands of georgeous and beautiful naked women. The man ran inside and the devil said "see you in 100 years" and locked the door.

The devil opened the 2nd man's door and the man came running out of the room and cried "IM GAY! IM GAY!". Finally the devil came to the third man's room and opened the door. Sitting in the middle of all the bud, in the exact same position the devil had left him in was the man. He looked up at the devil and with a single tear rolling down his cheek he asked ; "hey man, got a light?"

I'm getting my ass ready to head down to sunny Miami for Winter Party..... If any of you will be there you can catch me performing at Matinee Saturday night, Cameo on Sunday night and at Eddie Elias' afterparty monday morning.

will also be doing some shoots down there so I'll be coming back with more photo treats.

In the meantime here's a little something I've caught flying around the World wide web, by my good friend Marco Ovando who I get to see when I get to Miami.
Marco is also the Director of Cazwell's hit music video "Ice Cream Truck" and the director of his new video that is premiering this week in Miami at the Winter Music Conference called "Get My Money Back!"

Some new things that are coming along that I can't get my mind off....if anyone feels like getting me a late birthday gift....here's my registry.
From the FW Bernhard Wilhelm collection.....I need to have these overalls, it kind of like a sexy workout top that continues into these wild pants....may not look like much on a hanger but picture it on me. The two hoodies are amazing and look comfy as hell, totally fits in with the relaxed casual look ive been going for lol. and the sweat pants with the S&M elastic straps couldn't be hotter....finish it all off with these uber sexy boots and im happy for another season.

my apologies for not posting lately....todays post is coming to you from my work computer since my personal computer is in limbo somewhere.

I recently ordered a new Macbook pro since my old compy has bit the dust. As we all know Macbook's are no small purchase and so I was super stoked to have my new silver shiny baby sitting in my hands last week. (some much needed retail therapy after going through a break up)

SO as I complete my purchase on the Apple site, apple decides to dredge up the address of a client of my business as the shipping address (this is screw up #1 on their part). I noticed this though and no more than 5 seconds later I call customer to notify them of the problem. The representative takes down the change of address, says this is no problem, and I receive an email confirmation saying "Hey we got your correct address on file it's all good, your computer is on its way".....and so I wait eagerly expecting this piece of technology on my doorstep soon enough.

Friday comes though and no computer. Instead a call from my client saying they received a package at his winter home in Miami. MIAMI!

So now I call Apple and tell them the horrible mishap. How could you possibly send my computer to the incorrect address after I went out of my way to make sure the correct address was noted in your system. Once again the representative says no problem, we'll look into this and hopefully by Monday they will ship you a new computer overnight to your home in NY.

Monday comes, no call, no email. nothing. I call Apple back and they inform me that because the package was signed for (by some random person "Consuela") that they are relieved of all responsibility.
How in this day in age can a company be relieved of responsibility for a package that was signed for not by the consumer, not even by the recipient, but by a doorman??!?!

So after hours of stomping and screaming, and lots of hot air. The only course of action given to me by Apple is to call the authorities in Miami or pick up the package myself, or just hope that a doorman in Miami feels kind enough to ship a brand new computer to some random gay in New York.

So fuck you Apple, Miami here I come.

So I happened to find myself at two very straight parties over the last two weeks. And I found myself extremely frustrated in more ways than one.

The first night was at Pacha, I went with a good friend of mine and we were probably two of the only gay men in the house. But the straight men were insane...sooo gorgeous. Everywhere you looked there was another piece of hot man meat. Tall, dark, italian and very bridge and tunnel.
Ronnie from the Jersey Shore was in the DJ booth if that tells you anything.

I looked at my friend Anthony at one point and said "this is where I am going to Die, its going to happen tonight. I'm going to be found in some alleyway beaten to death (hopefully raped first)"

So Here's what got me all frustrated....and straight guys if any of you happen to be reading this not only are you gay...... but you should take note.

Sexy muscular straight men.....you can get better ASS!!! half of these knockout gods were walking hand in hand around the club with TRASH!!! Greasy haired, bad makeup, horrible taste is clothes TRASH!!! You can get better, look in the mirror.....FOR GODS SAKE TAKE ME!!! you can have all this and I swear its soooo much better.

Second....I can't stand seeing straight men who have absolutely stunning faces walking around with shit below the neck.
If you have been given that potential by god, work a little and make the most of it.
Don't waste what mommma gave ya.

Trends and Things I'm obsessed over

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm becomming an outspoken fan of drop crotch pants (aka Harem pants, Genie pants whatever you want to call them.) They have been making small appearances for the last couple years but in the past few months they have really become a relived trend that I'm so happy about. Some people might hate them and refer to them as diaper pants, but I say take all your old skinny jeans and boot cuts (which should not even exist in your closet anymore) and pack them away for years to come. It's time to trade up for their sexier and more badass drop crotch cousins.

Another big trend for the this season is bright bold colors. It's all about mixing together vibrant solid colors in every part of your wardrobe, don't stop with the shirts, grab a few brightly colored pants and shoes to tie it all together. Personally I think the primary colors are hot little combo.

A great item to pair with a good pair of drop crotches with a retro elastic waist is a vintage sweater. One of my favorites is this Adidas sweater below. Makes for a super 80's look.

I've always thought there might be a black woman living somewhere inside of me. A couple good DJ friends of mine have taken up calling me "White Chocolate" since I have substantially more rhythm and dance ability than the average white boy.

But here is the final proof that I'm a little black from head to toe. Here is Miss Nene leakes from Real Houswives of Atlanta rocking her own version of the "Slice". I noticed this while I was watching her and Kim get into a good ol' Cat fight on the tour bus to Miami and the camera did a real close-up of Nene's hair and there it was....shaved in all it's glory, with a boatload of Murphy's wax holding it open. I wasn't able to find a great picture of the closeup so you can see how wide it really is, but you can get the jist from these.

Joe Oppedisano for PREF

While I'm posting some older photos I might as well bring out post selects from my first shoot with Joe Oppedisano.....This was for a French magazine called PREF and one of the images is used in Joe's most recent photo book.

Funny story from this shoot......The bike was a loaner. I have some profiles out there on personal sites, most of which I don't regularly check on. But occasionally I get in the mood and I go in to clean out my inbox and see what hotties are a knockin. I open one message only to have my head bitten off. Apparently the owner of the bike sent me a short message to compliment me on the photos, and when I didn't respond he took offense and sent me this message basically damning me to hell.

To him if he's out there, I'm very sorry, nothing personal. And to anyone else finding themselves in this situation....introduce yourself maybe??!?! Say something more other than "hey nice pics" if you're looking for a more persoanlized response.

Between dancing at White Party this year in Palm Springs and performing for the lovely Kim Zolciak for the RHOA and Ke$ha, I took a little trip out to Joshua Tree national park to visit my friend Tim Palen and take some pictures in the most outlandishly beautiful location in our country.
